- sometimes paste doesn't work when replying
- new reply notifications (yellow rectangle) at bottom of pop-out message window take longer to appear, sometimes not at all
- update: now the yellow rectangle appears announcing a new message count that is inflated by 1 -- eg, if there's one new message, the notification says that there are 2
- clicking on a thread used to tightly collapse all read messages so you could easily see the latest unread message in thread. Now it takes some scrolling and hunting to find the unread message in a thread.
- "edit subject" opens up a new pop-out window in a new position and not the usual window within Gmail
- loses track of whether an attachment has been saved to Google Drive (icon remains grey). Clicking on notification that attachment was successfully saved does not go to Drive folder with attachment.
- Refresh button doesn't remove archived items from message list
- No longer underlining dates & times to create events to Calendar [1] [2]
- "It's inexplicable that the new Gmail integrates Calendar and Keep right in the sidebar, yet makes it harder than before to add an event to the Calendar!" [3]
- Chrome Desktop Notifications when clicked open new Gmail tab instead of new message window [4]
- Looks like this is now fixed -- 10/29/2018 10:03AM EST
- Oh spoke too soon, it's not fixed == 10:47AM EST
Pros
- archived emails immediately vanish from Inbox page when archived from pop-out page
- archiving a message returns you to the top of the message list, not the top of the message list before new emails arrived
